Nature Photography Book Design

This handmade nature photography coffee table book showcases work of one of the foremost nature photographers. Vincent Munier travels the earth to capture the moment. I created a book that displays his artistry and supports the wintery theme of his photographs as well as conveys poetic messages and calls for humans to treat nature and animals with respect. The book specimen was 100% hand-cut, scored, and bound with a special hinge system, which allows photographic heavy stock to open easier than
the "perfect bound" book would. Hardcover and jacket were designed with Reich Paper (shimmer series). The white tone cover print of antlers takes on
a pearlescent feel, much like a fresh snow in Siberia might do. The hardcover portion has a deep coal shimmer paper layer applied, to provide contrast
and further convey the feel of Vincent's images.
